Herald Globe (ANI) Wednesday 22nd February, 2012
Kingfisher Airlines on Wednesday submitted a copy of its revised schedule to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
According to the revised schedule, only 28 of the 64 Kingfisher aircraft will operate for now and the DGCA will monitor the airline's flight safety measures on a daily basis.
The DGCA said that they were reviewing the new schedule.
Kingfisher Airlines has resumed its Kolkata operations. Flight cancellations in other cities continue. In Mumbai, 14 Kingfisher flights were cancelled, while four were cancelled in Delhi and ten in Bangalore.
Meanwhile, the State Bank of India (SBI) has refused to confirm reports that the bank has decided to extend a relief package of over Rs.1600 crores to the crisis-hit Kingfisher Airlines.
Media reports had suggested that SBI had decided to extend a Rs 1650-crore relief package to Kingfisher Airlines.
The government has maintained that it had no plans to give a bailout package to Kingfisher Airlines. (ANI)
