Deoghar (Jharkhand) [India], May 15 (ANI): With electioneering at its peak for the last phase of seven-phased Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said the Congress party has accepted its defeat and its 'Darbaris' are making controversial statements just to save their 'Naamdars' from the blame.
"The Congress party has understood that it would lose the polls. It is now planning to put blame on someone to save the 'Naamdars' (Gandhi family). And two of its big 'Darbaris' (Sam Pitroda and Mani Shankar Aiyar) have even started working on it," said Modi while addressing an election rally here.
Referring to Pitroda and Aiyar as 'cricketers,' Prime Minister Modi said: "Two cricketers have even started their batting. And the party is distancing itself from their comments. I am telling you that they do not have this kind of power for batting without the order of the captain."It is worth mentioning that Pitroda, also the Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) chief had recently said - 'Hua to Hua' (Happened, so what) - while responding to a media query about 1984 anti-Congress Sikh riots at a presser in Amritsar, Punjab.
"He (Pitroda) is the 'Guru' of Rahul Gandhi. His 'Hua to Hua' comment has ashamed everyone. He is not aware of people's sentiments. I can assure you that he made this comment to save his 'Naamdar' from the blame of shameful defeat."Asking why Aiyar emerges only during elections, Modi said: "The Congress has a huge population of leaders who can martyr themselves just by trimming their nails to save their 'Naamdars.' Another cricketer who was hidden for years after abusing me has now re-emerged."Aiyar, who had stirred a political controversy in the run-up to the 2014 Lok Sabha polls by terming Modi as a "low caste" leader, recently revived his 'Neech Aadmi' jibe against the Prime Minister in an article by terming his observation as 'prophetic.'Earlier, the Prime Minister, while addressing a rally at Paliganj in Bihar, had alleged that Congress' 'Naamdaar family and Bihar's corrupt family have assets worth thousands of crores' and asked the source of their income.
"Be it Congress' Naamdaar family or the corrupt family in Bihar, their assets are in hundred-thousand crores now. From where did the money come? Had they cared a little for the nation and the poor, they would have hesitated from indulging in corruption," he had said.
"They live within such high walls that they cannot see the pain of the poor. They have lost touch with the land after usurping hundreds of acres of land. Even today their eyes are only open for looking for stolen money," said Modi.
Prime Minister Modi also spoke about PM-KISAN scheme and outlined his government's vision to make farmers a significant part of the solar energy source.
"We have pledged to double the income of farmers by 2022. We have decided to help them become solar-power providers. Agricultural farms can not only give food products but also solar energy. Our government is already working on this mode," he said.
Eight seats of Bihar will be going to polls in the last phase of seven-phased of elections on May 19. In West Bengal, nine seats will go to polls.
There Lok Sabha seats - Rajmahal, Dumka, and Godda - in Jharkhand where 14 Lok Sabha seats are at stake, will go to polls on May 19. In 2014, BJP had won 12 of 14 Lok Sabha seats. The counting of votes will take place on May 23.
