Guangzhou [China], Dec 12 (ANI): Indian shuttler PV Sindhu faced a second consecutive defeat in the ongoing BWF World Tour Finals on Thursday.
Sindhu lost her group A match against Chinese Chen Yufei 22-20, 16-21, 12-21 which lasted for 72 minutes.
The 24-year-old Indian shuttler won the first game after trailing by 17-20. She gained five consecutive points to claim the game. In the next two games, Yufei outclassed Sindhu to win the clash.
On Wednesday, World Championships gold medalist Sindhu faced a defeat against Akane Yamaguchi.
Japan's Yamaguchi trounced Sindhu 18-21, 21-18, 21-8 in the group A game which lasted for 68 minutes. Sindhu will now face China's He Bingjiao in the next group A match.
