The agent of Zimbabwe international Knowledge Musona admitted the player is considering a return to South Africa after it was reported a number of clubs are interested in the striker.
Musona spent three seasons at Kaizer Chiefs between 2009 and 2011 before heading to the Bundesliga to join Hoffenheim.
He has remained in Europe, barring a season on loan back at Chiefs in 2013 and is currently on the books of Anderlecht, albeit on loan at Eupen.
He has severely struggled to force his way into the first team of various European clubs since 2018 and there is rumoured interest from the likes of Amakhosi and Mamelodi Sundowns in luring him back to South Africa on a permanent basis.
While his agent revealed there has been no contact from South African clubs yet, he admitted they would seriously consider a return if an official offer was made - although any bid would have to match the lofty wages he is earning from Anderlecht.
"There's no team in South Africa that has enquired about Musona's situation. We don't know what will happen when the season resumes. Is he still interested in coming back to South Africa?" Makaab told Zulu-language newspaper Isolezwe.
"I think any player will never have doubts to play in a league that's stable and that's why I can't rule out a move back to the PSL.
"He has a good contract in terms of money with Anderlecht. He has worked hard for that. Therefore he can't make huge changes in his salary.
"Well, there were South African teams [that showed interest in January] but there was nothing serious because we never sat down and discussed Musona."
