WASHINGTON D.C.: In a statement this week, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said U.S. drone operators will have six more months, up to March 16, 2024, to equip their aircraft with remote identification modules.
The modules broadcast identification and location information about the drone.
The FAA added that after the deadline, operators could face fines and suspension or revocation of pilot certificates.
