The Miami Marlins acquired right-hander Tyler Phillips from the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday, FanSided reported.
The Phillies designated Phillips for assignment on Sunday. It's unclear what the Marlins gave up in a trade or whether it was a waiver claim.
Phillips, 27, went 4-1 with a 6.87 ERA in eight appearances (seven starts) with the Phillies in 2024. He made his major league debut on July 7.
He went 1-3 with a 7.59 ERA in seven appearances (one start) during spring training.
