Philadelphia tight end Dallas Goedert is dealing with a knee sprain which has his status for Sunday's games against Kansas City unclear, according to a report from Philadelphia radio station 94WIP.
According to the report, it's not expected to be a long-term issue but he was not in attendance during Wednesday's practice.
Goedert, 30, is in his eighth NFL season, all with the Eagles, who selected him in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of South Dakota State. He agreed to a reworked contract in May which will pay him $10 million this season (down from the $14.25 million he was set to be paid) after the team spent a few months considering trade offers for the veteran tight end.
Goedert recorded a team-high seven catches for 44 yards in the Eagles' 24-20 Week 1 home win over Dallas. He has 356 career receptions for 4,129 yards and 24 touchdowns over 94 regular-season games (77 starts). Goedert also has 52 catches for 562 yards and four TDs in 12 playoff games (10 starts).
The first official injury report ahead of Sunday's game in Kansas City will be released on Wednesday. If Goedert were to be unavailable, Grant Calcaterra (418 yards, one TD over 48 games with 16 starts) is listed as his backup on the Eagles' online depth chart.
