Denver raced out to a 21-4 lead and led by 14 with 5:59 left in the second quarter but Dallas caught fire. The Mavericks scored 16 straight points and outscored the Nuggets 22-7 the rest of the period and took a 69-68 lead into halftime.
Denver quickly grabbed a four-point lead in the third quarter but Dallas rallied again and took a 98-96 lead on a Flagg alley-oop from Nembhard.
